OFFSTAGE: LoCash Cowboys and Kendra Go Muddin'

(CMT Offstage keeps a 24/7 watch on everything that's happening with country music artists behind the scenes and out of the spotlight.)

Kendra Wilkinson Baskett brought her muddy cowboy boots home to L.A. from Nashville. "I just couldn't leave them there. I still have them outside on my patio, and they're still all muddy," she told me about the boots she wore -- and pretty much wrecked -- in the new LoCash Cowboys video for "C.O.U.N.T.R.Y."

In the video, Baskett plays a good-timin' mud-lovin' pal to the Cowboys' Preston Brust and Chris Lucas. She's a good sport about it, even though she wasn't so sure about the invitation at first.

"I was like, 'Why would I go all the way to Nashville just to roll around in mud?' I felt like a fish outta water a little bit, but I had a blast. And they definitely chose the right person," she said. "They were not expecting me to get all the way in the mud. I think they thought this girl from Hollywood is coming and she probably won't even want to touch the mud. But I love to prove everybody wrong and do exactly the opposite of what they think of me."

I asked Brust about Baskett's role in the video, and her ability to get dirty is exactly what they wanted from her. "Kendra's a tomboy, but sexy. And she doesn't intimidate other chicks, but guys love her. She's the perfect girl," he said. "And once we reached out to her, she was all about it."

When I asked him about her ruining her cowboy boots, Brust just laughed and said, "I think everybody ruined everything that day."
