OFFSTAGE: Taylor Swift Says There Will Be Pumpkin

(CMT Offstage keeps a 24/7 watch on everything that's happening with country music artists behind the scenes and out of the spotlight.)

Obviously, the talk during Taylor Swift's live web chat earlier this week was all about her new music. But her fans did get the chance to ask whatever other off-topic questions were on their minds. No one asked about Swift's love life or real estate news, but one -- Sara from Arizona -- did manage to get her to open up about the domestic side of things, like her love of baked goods. She asked her if she still loves to bake, and Swift said yes. "It's a very serious thing," she said. "There's something really calming and soothing to me about having everything measured out. And stirring it. And preheating the oven." Swift added that she really likes baking, cooking and watching TV. "Fall is about to happen, so it's about to be like baking overdrive. Because fall is when you start baking cinnamon-type things and pumpkin-type things," she said. "So there's gonna be pumpkin bread that I'm gonna make a lot of and give it to people. That's what I do in the fall." Swift also said fall is when Starbucks gets the pumpkin spice latte that she's excited about. That's usually available come October, but a Starbucks staffer told me there are no guarantees when their seasonal lattes will arrive. Surely, the baristas will be able to whip some up for Swift.
