Nashville Will Host Grammy Nominations Concert

The Grammy Nominations Concert Live — Countdown to Music’s Biggest Night will take place Dec. 5 at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena. Combining the announcement of Grammy nominees in several categories and performances by past Grammy winners and nominees, it marks the first time the event has taken place in a location other than Los Angeles. Describing the event as a “perfect fit” for the city, Nashville Mayor Karl Dean said, “This announcement further validates that Nashville is a destination on the rise, and our rich musical heritage has once again put us on the national stage. This is tremendous news for Nashville, and we look forward to working with the Recording Academy to ensure the show’s success.” The 55th annual Grammy Awards show is set for Feb. 10 at Staples Center in Los Angeles. The nominees concert and the awards show will be broadcast on CBS. Performers have not been announced for the Nashville event, but last year’s nominees concert was hosted by LL Cool J and feature performances by Lady Gaga, Sugarland, Jason Aldean, Ludacris, The Band Perry and others.
