Kitty Wells’ 7-Up Pound Cake

1½ cups butter, softened
3 cups sugar
5 eggs
1 cup 7-Up
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon vanilla flavoring

Preheat oven to 350°.

In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add flour and 7-Up alternately, mixing well after each addition. Fold in lemon juice and vanilla.

Bake in greased and floured 10-inch pan for 1 hour and 15 minutes. Cool and remove from pan.
