On Monday morning (Sept. 17), Rascal Flatts were on Hollywood Boulevard unveiling the 2,480th star on Hollywood Walk of Fame — theirs. And during the ceremony, Jay DeMarcus talked about how he didn’t even have enough words to describe how grateful he is for the honor. “Who would’ve thought 13 years ago, when we were playing a little barroom in Nashville, Tenn., that we’d come from a barroom to the Walk of Fame,” he said of the band’s long journey to the top. But Gary LeVox, I think, said it best. “You can’t even dream that big. … We’re walking in high cotton out here in L.A. today.” Which I’m pretty sure is a long, long way from Mayberry.
