Johnny Cash Music Festival Raises $200,000 for Scholarships, Restoration of Boyhood Home

The second annual Johnny Cash Music Festival raised approximately $200,000 to help fund the restoration of his boyhood home in Dyess, Ark., and to support a scholarship fund established in his name. His daughter, Rosanne Cash, hosted Friday’s (Oct. 5) event at Arkansas State University in Jonesboro featuring performances by Dierks Bentley, Willie Nelson, the Civil Wars and others. Plans are underway for next year’s event which marks the 10th anniversary of Johnny Cash’s death.
