OFFSTAGE: Keith Urban Says 'Idol' Judges "Hear Very Different Things"

Keith Urban has started talking about American Idol and how he and his fellow judges have been getting along, especially during the months-long audition process. In an interview with Ryan Seacrest for E! News, Urban said that sometimes they agree and sometimes they may not. "The thing about the four of us, I think, is we hear very different things and see very different things," he said. "And for every time we could react to the same thing, there were definitely times we thought that a person was completely insane." Urban actually names one contestant -- Adam Sanders -- as a standout for him. "I love that we went into all these towns and heard so many people. And Mariah [Carey] is right. We've got a lot of people," he added. "It's going to be hard to get to Hollywood week and let so many people go." The winning contestants leave for Hollywood in two weeks, and the new season premieres on Jan. 16.
