Zac Brown and bandmate Clay Cook will join singer-songwriter John Mayer for a Jan. 16 charity concert in Bozeman, Mont. Mayer is hosting the concert to raise money for the local Park County Community Foundation to support local wildfire relief. In August, a fire destroyed more than 8,500 acres of forest and farmland in and around the nearby town of Livingston, Mont. Only five homes were lost. Mayer, who owns a home in the area, said, “Without the tireless effort and dedication of the firefighters of the Pine Creek fire, many more homes and memories would have been destroyed, mine among them.” Mayer and Cook met in Boston in the ’90s and formed a duo, Lo-Fi Masters, before moving to Atlanta in 1998.
