When I talked to Kellie Pickler last week, she told me what the new year means to her. Usually, it means another blissful year of being Mrs. Kyle Jacobs.
“The new year is our anniversary. So normally, Kyle and I would celebrate that, and we were planning on going to the Caribbean for our second anniversary. But my baby sister Courtney is due with a baby in January, so this year we’re just staying home in Nashville and waiting. I’m on sister call. Or, ’Aunt Kellie’ duty,” Pickler told me. “Because the baby could be here any minute and I need to be close so I can get to the hospital.”
But even with her Aunt Kellie duties, she’ll still have time for a New Year’s resolution, right? She’s not so sure.
“To be honest, we shouldn’t wait until the new year to make changes in our lives if we need to. You should do it immediately. And not procrastinate. But I’d be the pot calling the kettle black,” she said with a laugh.
