Kelly Clarkson will join James Taylor and Beyoncé in providing the music during President Barack Obama’s inauguration ceremony on Jan. 21 in Washington. Clarkson will perform “My Country ’Tis of Thee,” Taylor will sing “America the Beautiful” and Beyoncé will deliver the national anthem. The president personally selected all three performers. Obama will be sworn in for his second term during a private ceremony at the White House on Jan. 20, the date mandated by the Constitution. Since the date falls on a Sunday this year, the public ceremony will take place the following day in front of the U.S. Capitol building.
