OFFSTAGE: Six Guys Keep Coming and Going on 'Nashville'

(CMT Offstage keeps a 24/7 watch on everything that's happening with country music artists behind the scenes and out of the spotlight.)

Uh, oh. Remember Nashville's new cowboy in town I wrote about last week? Well, on Wednesday's (April 10) show, that cowboy Will played a much more important part. He sang a duet with Scarlett at the Bluebird Cafe. Which wouldn't be a big deal if it hadn't been so completely perfect together. They sang "You Ain't Dolly (And You Ain't Porter)," an Ashley Monroe/Blake Shelton song from Monroe's new solo album. (The song playing in the bar before they took the stage was Kacey Musgraves' "Stupid," in case you were wondering.) Nothing happened between the two after the song, but it's going to. I know chemistry when I see it. Besides Will, some of the other guys who just couldn't stay put on the episode included:

Dante: Juliette's lover (and her mom's sober companion) gets in a little trouble with Deacon, who tries to get rid of him, but now he's here to stay because Juliette hired him as her new manager.

Deacon: He seems to really love his new girlfriend -- who is the spitting image of Grace Potter -- but guess who made a quick trip back to Nashville to be by Rayna's side when her dad had a heart attack? His loyalties are too tough to call.

Lamar: Two heart attacks in one episode -- and this man is still alive? He's going nowhere fast.

Avery: Indie musician-turned-roadie gets fired for accidentally seeing Dante and Juliette in bed, but then Deacon comes to his rescue and gets him his job back.

Teddy: Now what, Mr. Mayor? Teddy just found that his homewrecker of a girlfriend Peggy has been lying to him about a lot of things. I think he will leave her and maybe even try to get Rayna back.
