OFFSTAGE: Miranda Lambert Has to Triple Her Childhood Recipe

(CMT Offstage keeps a 24/7 watch on everything that’s happening with country music artists behind the scenes and out of the spotlight.)

Five ingredients. That’s all it takes to make Miranda Lambert‘s flourless peanut butter cookies. But, be aware, you will have to have three times as much of each ingredient on hand. Lambert says her cookies are so good, you’ll always want more. She told Good Housekeeping she felt like she’d earned the magazine’s seal of approval — a homemaker’s way of knowing something’s been tested and approved — when she bakes these addictive little treats. “I make my flourless peanut butter cookies that I’ve been making since I was 5 years old,” she said. “I always triple the recipe because everybody wants some. They’re delish.” So go buy the big jar of crunchy peanut butter, the big bag of peanut butter chips and the big bag of sugar. (You really don’t need flour, or butter for that matter.) I made a triple batch of these earlier this week, and they were gone the next day. Let us know how yours turn out and how long they lasted in your house.

Alison makes her living loving country music. She's based in Chicago, but she's always leaving her heart in Nashville.
