CMA’s CEO Steve Moore Resigns

Moore Will Pursue Corporate and Philanthropic Opportunities

Steve Moore, the Country Music Association’s (CMA) chief executive officer, has resigned, effective immediately. The announcement was made Monday (July 1) via a press release.

“After nearly four years in this position, and given the phenomenal success that the CMA team has achieved, this seemed like an appropriate time to step aside and pursue other corporate and philanthropic opportunities,” Moore said in the release. No replacement was announced.

An experienced executive in concert promotion, Moore has been a member of the organization’s board of directors since 1989. In addition to his music industry achievements, Moore is the founder and president of Shalom Foundation, a not-for-profit organization that provides educational, nutritional and medical assistance to underprivileged children and their families in Guatemala.
