Dierks Bentley and Friends Raise Almost $500,000 for Families of Firefighters

Dierks Bentley, The Band Perry, Randy Houser and David Nail helped raise $476,000 Monday night (July 22) during Bentley's Country Cares Concert to benefit the families of the Granite Mountain Hot Shots firefighters who recently lost their lives while battling a wildfire near Prescott, Ariz. Family members of the 19 firefighters attended the concert with the sole surviving firefighter from the group. Bentley honored the fallen firefighters with a photo tribute during his first-ever performance of his new song "Here on Earth" and kicked off a special version of "Home" with a bagpipe intro by the Rural Metro Pipe and Drum Corp. The concert at Tim's Toyota Center in Prescott Valley was organized in less than a week and benefited the United Phoenix Firefighters. Money raised will be directly distributed to the families of the 19 fallen firefighters. The concert was co-presented by radio stations KMLE/Phoenix and KAFF-FM/Flagstaff-Prescott, Ariz.
