Nice try, People magazine. Your list of summer jams is pretty good. But 18 songs aren’t enough to get me through an hour of summer, let alone a long day at the beach or any kind of patio cocktail party, backyard barbecue or smoky bonfire. So allow me to embellish your list a little by adding old and new carefree country songs that make me think of all things summer and make me want to, as you say, grab a beer and go dancing on the beach.
