Gary Allan Undergoes Knee Surgery

Gary Allan is recovering from surgery to repair a torn meniscus in his left knee but plans to resume his concert schedule this weekend. The meniscus is a rubbery disc that cushions the knee, and Allan’s condition is a common injury. Tennessee Titans team physician Dr. Burton Elrod performed the procedure Monday (July 22). Allan returns to the road with a Friday night concert at a casino in Robinsonville, Miss. In a statement released by his publicist, Allan said, “I wanted to thank all of you for the well wishes and let you know I’m feeling great. I may be in a knee brace the next time you see me on the stage, but I’m looking forward to rocking Mississippi on Friday night.”
