OFFSTAGE: Taylor Swift Goes SUPing in Rhode Island

Taylor Swift must be feeling 22. Who else but a youngish adult could ever tackle this kind of extreme sport called SUPing? It’s allegedly much harder than it looks. Swift was seen doing this stand-up paddleboarding on Wednesday (July 24) near her Westerly, R.I., home. So near, in fact, it’s only about a 10-minute walk from Swift’s place to the beach on Napatree Point. She was with a few other friends, stayed for a couple hours and wore a retro purple bikini. People magazine is reporting she may have had trouble at first but eventually held her own. When she got back to the beach, she proclaimed “successful landing!” The girl from a nearby town who saw Swift SUPing also said Swift looked like she was having a blast and added that she has a great sense of humor. To prove it, she took a photo of the sign in front of Swift’s home that says: “I knew you were trouble when you walked in. NO TRESPASSING.” The fan later tweeted, “Watching @taylorswift13 paddleboard today was literally one of the greatest things that’s ever happened to me.”

Alison makes her living loving country music. She's based in Chicago, but she's always leaving her heart in Nashville.
