Loretta Lynn's Daughter Dies After Battle With Emphysema

Loretta Lynn's eldest daughter, Betty Sue Lynn, died Monday (July 29) in Waverly, Tenn., at age 64 from complications of emphysema. Betty Sue Lynn is survived by two daughters, Lynn Markworth and Audrey Dyer, and five grandchildren. Loretta Lynn and her late husband Doolittle "Mooney" Lynn had six children. Their eldest son, Jack Benny Lynn, drowned in 1984 while attempting to cross the Duck River on horseback near Waverly. Loretta Lynn, 81, performed Friday at the 9:30 Club in Washington, D.C., and is scheduled to resume her performance schedule on Aug. 9 with a sold-out show at the Isle of Capri Casino in Boonville, Mo.
