(CMT Offstage keeps a 24/7 watch on everything that’s happening with country music artists behind the scenes and out of the spotlight.)
Brad Paisley’s worked with a lot of celebs in his career. Jason Alexander, William Shatner, Maureen McCormick, Andy Griffith, Clint Eastwood, Alabama, John Mayer, Alison Krauss, Sheryl Crow, Dierks Bentley, Hunter Hayes, Keith Urban, Dolly Parton and probably even a few more I missed. (It’s that hard to keep track of his collaborations.)
But Carrie Underwood? She is the only one Paisley will ever work with on the CMA Awards. This year’s show will be the sixth time they’ve hosted it together.
“I can’t see hosting that show with somebody else, you know? There are things that you could see yourself doing in the future with other artists here and there,” Paisley said in a radio interview, “but as far as that goes, that really works with the two of us.”
The show will air live on Nov. 6 and like they always do, I’m sure they’ll make it a night to remember. “We work so well together and we’ve figured it out,” Paisley said.
