Kimberly, Neil and Reid Perry of The Band Perry are celebrating sweet success yet again with their No. 1 hit, “Done.” The sibling trio says the music from their latest album, Pioneer, is a true reflection of each of them.
“For us, I feel like Pioneer is a snapshot of who we are, especially live,” Reid Perry told CMT Hot 20 Countdown during a Monday afternoon (Aug. 26) party in downtown Nashville. “We do have a lot of big drums, a lot of electric guitars, but there are vulnerable moments, as well.”
Kimberly Perry added, “Yeah, I feel like there was a lot of spit and spirit, but we did actually wear our hearts on our sleeve on the slower ballad side of the project, as well. So it was nice to just get to explore all those regions of the The Perry sound.”
Fans will hear a different facet of that signature sound on the band’s upcoming single.
“‘Don’t Let Me Be Lonely,’ which is coming out next, is probably one of the sweetest lyrics on the album, so I feel like you’re getting a good cross section,” Reid Perry said.
And there is no slowing down in sight for the band. They’ll take their high-energy show on an exciting European world tour starting in November.
“We’ll be there for like a full month and can hopefully be tourists while on tour, but we love touring,” says Neil Perry. “It’s what we’ve done from the very beginning. We feel most at home onstage.”
The European tour includes concerts in Sweden, Norway, Denmark, the Netherlands, Germany and the United Kingdom. Meanwhile, The Band Perry remain on the road in the U.S. with shows set for Thursday (Aug. 29) in Sevierville, Tenn., Friday in Biloxi, Miss., Saturday in Tuskahoma, Okla., and Sunday in Quapaw, Okla.
