“Wine Bar/Gift Shop.” Those four little words speak volumes to so many women (and a lot of men, I guess) who love to have a little fun while they do a little shopping. And that’s just how Miranda Lambert‘s newest Pink Pistol store in her hometown of Lindale, Texas, is described on its Facebook page.
I know the first store in Oklahoma — where Lambert lives with husband Blake Shelton — is more of an ice cream/gift shop. But either way, adding a glass of sauvignon blanc or an ice cream float to the shopping experience is probably never a bad idea.
The stores were originally created as a hobby and something that would promote business in these two small towns. The first one opened just about a year ago, and now the one in Texas will have its grand opening on Oct, 12-13. The weekend has been dubbed #Pinktoberfest, and they are promising all kind of Texas-sized celebrating with food, drinks, games, carnival rides, live music and Pink Pistol gear. Lambert’s tour wraps on Oct. 12 in Iowa, so do you think she might be the “live music” in Texas on the following night?
The only way you can get Pink Pistol merchandise is to actually go into a Pink Pistol store. They say they want their customers to enjoy “the experience of visiting our locations” and “have elected not to make our products available online.”
That said, if any of you are in Texas or Oklahoma and want to pick me up a few things, here’s my wish list:
• The metal sign that says “I chose the road less traveled, now where the hell am I”
• Fairy Dust
• A pink Pink Pistol T-shirt
• Pink cowboy boots
