Is Blake Shelton Ready to Win Again?

Blake Shelton seems to have the magic touch, doesn't he? He has coached (or picked or mentored or cheered on) the last three champions of the hit reality show The Voice. And after its season premiere on Monday (Sept. 23), does he seem poised to do it again?

It's way too soon to tell. But after having the last three winners on his teams -- Jermaine Paul, Cassadee Pope and Danielle Bradbery -- Shelton must feel pretty good about his own odds. And he's really just high on The Voice, in general.

"It's definitely changed the way that I view my position in the business, I guess," Shelton said in a recent radio interview. "It's easy to take it for granted sometimes, but it's like, 'How many people would love to be stand here talking about the stuff I'm talking about. Every time I sit in one of those chairs and see people that want this, it's humbling. It's good for you."

So far, the only one Shelton has chosen for Team Blake is Shelbie Z, a hair stylist and former pageant girl who sang Gretchen Wilson's "Here for the Party." She has a really powerful, made-for-country kind of voice. I'm not sure about her star power, but we'll see.

I also kind of loved Jake Worthington, who did the Georgia Satellites' "Keep Your Hands to Yourself," but he didn't make it through to the next round.

"I screwed the pooch," Shelton said after not turning around for Worthington.

Shelton's not the only one who appreciates what the show is doing. On Sunday night (Sept. 22), The Voice won an Emmy for outstanding reality-competition program
