Tim McGraw, Faith Hill Still Want to Record Duets Album

Finding the Right Songs Remains a Major Challenge

The chemistry is there. The opportunity is there. The demand is there. So will Tim McGraw and Faith Hill finally deliver with a duets album?

Maybe. McGraw was hesitant to officially say yes, but in a recent interview, he did confirm to CMT Radio that he and his wife are keen to make some more musical magic together at some point. But not only does the timing have to be right, the songs also have to be right, too.

“It’s about the songs — when the song comes along that’s the right song for us to do,” he said. “I mean, we don’t want to just go cut a song to be cutting a song together. I think that waters [down] what we do — not as a family or a couple but what we do as a singing couple.”

He makes a good point. We need to remember that any new songs they record will be following previous collaborations such as “It’s Your Love” and “I Need You.” And let’s face it. Those are timeless hits that will be hard to top.

Right now, the onstage chemistry lives on between the two in their hit Soul2Soul show which recently extended its run at the Venetian in Las Vegas due to the crazy demand for more of the couple. Their Vegas shows resume on Oct. 25.
