Zac Brown Band, Blake Shelton, Carrie Underwood Go Double Platinum

Hunter Hayes, Kenny Chesney and Uncle Kracker Reach Platinum

The Zac Brown Band has cooked up two more RIAA certifications as “Knee Deep” reaches double-platinum status and “Colder Weather” hits platinum.

“Knee Deep” is the group’s second multi-platinum single, after “Chicken Fried” reached that marker in 2010. “Colder Weather” is the band’s fourth platinum single, joining those three songs and “Toes.” Platinum certifications for digital singles are based on a combination of singles and streaming for a combined 1 million units.

The Zac Brown Band will continue touring through 2013. Their upcoming dates are in Charlotte, N.C., on Friday (Oct. 11), Virginia Beach, Va., on Saturday and Bristow, Va., on Sunday.

In addition, the ensemble will host the Southern Ground Music & Food Festival in Charleston, S.C., on Oct. 18 and 19. The lineup also features Band of Horses, Dawes, Fitz & the Tantrums and the Head and the Heart, as well as Natalie Maines, Jason Mraz, Kacey Musgraves, Willie Nelson, Kenny Rogers and many others.

After that, the Zac Brown Band will play a two-night engagement at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles on Oct. 25-26. According to a blog post on the band’s website, they’ll start working on a new album in early November in Nashville.

In related news, Blake Shelton’s “Boys ’Round Here” and Carrie Underwood’s “Good Girl” have also reached double-platinum status.
