Brad Paisley Is Grateful for His Mother

CMA Awards Co-Host Says He Appreciates His Parents More Than Ever

Nothing makes you appreciate your parents more than becoming a parent yourself. Just ask Brad Paisley. His career is in full swing with no signs of slowing down. But so is his family life, which is why having his parents around to help out is more important than ever before.

Paisley, who’s celebrating his 41st birthday Monday (Oct. 28), says he’s grateful and blessed he was brought up by such loving and attentive parents and even more grateful they are able to enjoy and spend time with his sons, Huck, 6, and Jasper, 4.

“My mom has become even more important now that I have children because nobody works harder at picking up the slack in our children’s lives than my mom,” Paisley admits. He says his parents are “invaluable because there’s actually two working parents in my house now.”

With Paisley’s wife Kimberly Williams-Paisley pulling long hours on the set of ABC’s hit show Nashville, having grandparents close by and so hands-on must be a relief for the power couple. It must also be tons of fun for their children. Who doesn’t love quality time with their grandma and grandpa?

And it’s not just Huck and Jasper who reap the benefits. Paisley himself enjoys the quality time with his proud parents who still come out to support their son. Whether it’s a tour or a performance at the Grand Ole Opry, if you look around closely behind the scenes, you’re likely to see them beaming as they watch the country superstar do his thing onstage. It simply goes to show you’re never too old, successful or famous to be your mama’s pride and joy.

I wonder if the Paisley grandparents will babysit next week during the 47th annual CMA Awards . Paisley is set to return as co-host with Carrie Underwood for the sixth year in a row.
