Nashville Wives Not What I Expected

When I heard there was going to be a show called Private Lives of Nashville Wives , I immediately pictured a show like Nashville — but real. So instead of fictional characters like Rayna, Juliette, Scarlett and Peggy, it would be a cast of the wives of the country singers we all know and love.

Some of the possibilities might be Trace Adkins‘ wife Rhonda, Tim McGraw‘s wife Faith, Luke Bryan‘s wife Caroline, Keith Urban‘s wife Nicole, Thomas Rhett ‘s wife Lauren, Justin Moore‘s wife Kate, Dierks Bentley‘s wife Cassidy and Brad Paisley‘s wife Kimberly (who actually portrays Peggy on Nashville, by the way). I mean, who wouldn’t tune in to see those women sitting around drinking wine and bitching about their husbands?

But that would be too good (or bad, depending on how you look at it) to be true. This new TNT series, set to premiere in February, looks more like a Real Housewives kind of show, complete with wine, backstabbing, fighting, drama and size two dresses.

The cast of Private Lives of Nashville Wives includes:

Sarah Davidson, wife of country hit maker Dallas Davidson (“That’s My Kind of Night,” “Boys ‘Round Here,” “If Heaven Wasn’t So Far Away,” “Start a Band,” “You Don’t Know Her Like I Do” and many more)

Cassie Piersol-Chapman, wife of Christian music artist and former TNN: The Nashville network host Gary Chapman

Betty Malo, wife of The Mavericks frontman Raul Malo

Ana Fernandez, Betty Malo’s identical twin sister

Erika Page White, wife of country singer Bryan White (who had four No. 1 country singles during the ’90s)

Jenny Terrell, wife of JT Terrell, an event and party producer

Tina Brady, wife of Nashville dentist Stan Brady

Alison makes her living loving country music. She's based in Chicago, but she's always leaving her heart in Nashville.
