CMT’s Reel Eats to Be Hosted by Allison DeMarcus

New Program Combines Cooking, News and Movies

Reel Eats, new a bi-weekly show hosted by CMT correspondent Allison DeMarcus premieres Nov. 12 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on CMT.

Paired with select CMT movies, Reel Eats will include a featured recipe prepared by DeMarcus along with trivia and cooking segments, interviews with country’s favorite stars, the latest Hollywood and country music news, viewer mail and more.

On each episode, DeMarcus will present delicious, easy-to-prepare recipes that viewers can re-create in their own kitchens. Good food will be paired with good company as country artists drop by for an interview and a bite to eat. To spice things up in the kitchen, DeMarcus will also welcome notable chefs to demonstrate their culinary expertise.

In the premiere episode featuring the movie Ghostbusters, DeMarcus prepares Miss Caron’s Pizza Casserole, a recipe that was passed down from her mother-in-law. DeMarcus prepares the dish often for her husband, Rascal Flatts’ bassist Jay DeMarcus, so there’s no surprise when he makes a special appearance to serve as the official taste tester.

She is a former Miss Tennessee and Miss Tennessee USA. While reigning as Miss Tennessee USA, she began modeling and commercial work, landing the lead role in a Rascal Flatts music video. The video for the No. 1 country song, “These Days,” won group video of the year at the CMT Music Awards in 2003.

She joined CMT in January 2007.
