CMA Awards: Only the Best Dressed Came

This is where everyone on the Internet went wrong. There should be no such thing as a best and worst dressed list from this year’s CMA Awards because everyone looked absolutely amazing. I mean, sure, some people were a little more glammed up than others. But, really, it would be tough to say any one of the country artists and celebs who walked the red carpet looked bad.

Some trends stood out: sheer mesh necklines (the décolletage’s best friend), leather, navy blue and three-piece suits for the guys. But everyone looked award-winning.

Like Carrie Underwood. Even though she had hosting duties to deal with, she hit the carpet for a little while in a sheer-but-sparkly Ralph & Russo Couture dress that was as nude as her signature nude lip.

Jennifer Nettles let her baby girls kind of steal the fashion show in her low-cut Naeem Khan gown.

Miranda Lambert’s plunging royal blue Roberto Cavalli gown was flat-out stunning, head to toe.

Jason Aldean looked very classy in what looked like the top two parts of a khaki three-piece suit that he paired with jeans to make it look cooler than ever.

Kimberly Perry, The Band Perry’s newly-engaged frontwoman, was in a long weddingish white Johanna Johnson gown embellished with silver shimmer. Not that she would, but she could almost repurpose it for her big day.

Taylor Swift was in a stunning full, floor-length Elie Saab gown in, what else, red — paired with a pair of Jimmy Choos.

Danielle Bradbery wrapped her petite body in black-and-white lace, in a stylish BCBG dress with an open back.

Connie Britton chose a very classy black Georges Hobeika gown for her red carpet walk. It was very Rayna James of her.

Jake Owen rocked an LBS (little black suit) with a LWT (little white T-shirt).

And new artist of the year winner Kacey Musgraves walked the carpet prior to her big night in a nude dress with a sheer overlay accented with white roses from Bluemarine.

Faith Hill’s sleeveless white dress had a keyhole neckline and made her look like a goddess.

Lady Antebellum’s Charles Kelley looked like he had walked right off the Man Men set in a tan plaid wool three-piece suit.

Lucy Hale nailed the mullet dress look with a flowing skirt and a high jeweled neckline.

The ladies of vocal group of the year Little Big Town went to opposite extremes with Karen Fairchild in a long slim red strapless Pamela Roland dress and Kimberly Schlapman in a black and silver gown with a full skirt embellished with feathers.
