Country music and patriotism have always gone together, and numerous stars have consistently made a point to acknowledge the sacrifices of our troops. The dedication goes beyond singing the national anthem at major sporting events.

Several country artists spent time during the past year traveling with the USO to perform concerts at military installations all over the world.

To honor veterans and to give back to the community, Nashville-based singer-songwriter Gavin DeGraw is teaming up with Applebee's Thank You Movement to perform a free concert in America's "Most Thankful Neighborhood." Online comments are being accepted on the program's website through Monday (Nov. 11). So far, communities in New York and New Jersey are in the lead as local residents express their gratitude to those who have served our nation.

Applebee's will also honor our military by serving a free signature entree this Veterans Day to all U.S. veterans and active duty members of our military.
