Men of the world, pay attention: Blake Shelton knows how to make you sexier.
And since People magazine’s Sexiest Man Alive issue just crowned him their sexiest representative of the great state of Oklahoma , I’d say his advice might be worth taking.
It all starts with shoes, fellas. Poor shoe choices will apparently get you nowhere in life — or at the very least will land you on Shelton’s personal worst-dressed list. That’s what he jokingly said during a recent visit to CMT Hot 20 Countdown .
“I think that men should wear shoes that if there’s an emergency, they’re gonna be able to help,” Shelton declared. “And when guys are walking around in flip-flops or sandals, bowling shoes … or whatever in the hell some of that stuff is they’re wearing … I’m thinking, ‘OK, if there’s a fire, I’ve gotta get the women and children and you out of this building.’”
Maybe you don’t share this logic, but according to Blake, “That’s just how I think.”
So to all the men out there desperately clinging to their comfortable Crocs or maybe their college flip-flops, it might be time to say goodbye and forever part ways — at least if you care to share the fashion sense of Oklahoma’s sexiest man. And who doesn’t?
No word on how Brad Paisley or Dierks Bentley might feel about men’s footwear in the grand scheme of sexy. Both Paisley and Bentley were also selected by People to represent their respective home states of West Virginia and Arizona.
Glee star and Nashville native Chord Overstreet is also in the issue, as are Harrison Ford, Tom Brokaw, Bradley Cooper, Tom Brady, Seth Meyers, Channing Tatum and Breaking Bad‘s Aaron Paul. They all made the cut — hopefully not wearing flip-flops.
