Dierks Bentley Teaches Us How to Party

He Offers Important Party Tip While Looking Forward to Orange Bowl Halftime Show

Dierks Bentley is coming to a halftime show near you in January. But before he does, he offers a valuable tip for proper partying on game day.

Hydrate, y’all. We must all hydrate.

Bentley is slated to headline the Discover Orange Bowl halftime show on Jan. 3 at Sun Life Stadium near Miami. It’s the ultimate college football showdown between the Atlantic Coastal Conference (ACC) champion and the BCS at-large team, so you know fans will be ready to rock with him.

However, he explained to CMT Radio Live that no matter the celebratory occasion, pacing yourself is incredibly important.

“A little water every now and then between the beers,” Bentley advises. “I know it’s not fun, and I don’t ever remember, but that would be my party tip. … Just try to slide a few glasses of water in with everything else you’re consuming.

“Hydrating! Hydrating is very important. I need to tattoo that on my arm somewhere.”

If you’ve ever been to a Bentley show or know the least little bit about his catalog of good-time songs like “Sideways,” “Tip It on Back” or his ultimate party-anthem, “5-1-5-0,” you know it’s perfectly acceptable in his world to crowd surf, cut loose and get a little crazy out in the audience. Just do it with caution — and a little H2O.

The Voice’s Danielle Bradbery will perform the national anthem prior to the game which airs on ESPN. Jake Owen and Kelly Clarkson are among the other artists who have headlined the Orange Bowl halftime show in years past.

Samantha is a country radio insider with a deep love for the music and its stars. She can often be found on a red carpet or at a late-night guitar pull.
