Florida Georgia Line to Give Thanks in New York City

Appearances Include Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade

Turkey, dressing and cranberry sauce might be on the menu for the boys of Florida Georgia Line on Thanksgiving Day, but those dishes won’t be enjoyed with the comforts of home this year.

Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley are working hard up in good ol’ New York City and are pretty bummed not to be traveling back to Monroe, Ga., and Ormond Beach, Fla., respectively. But have no fear. They have a plan.

When you can’t go home to be with your family, Hubbard says, you bring your family to you.

“My family has never even been to New York, so [it’s a] very exciting time, and they’re excited to see the city and [I’ll] take ’em out to dinner and have a good time,” he said.

There’s certainly a lot for both guys and their families to celebrate and be thankful for — multiplatinum success of “Cruise,” CMA and American Music Awards, preparation for CMT Artists of the Year , more No. 1 hits, a successful headlining tour. The list goes on for these two.

The biggest excitement lined up for Thursday (Nov. 28) might be their appearance on the time-honored Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. Then again, there are the exciting concerts and other TV appearances they have lined up as well. They will appear on NBC’s Late Night With Jimmy Fallon on Wednesday night, then the big parade Thursday morning. They’ll sing their new single, “Stay,” on ABC’s Good Morning America on Friday.

“It’s gonna be a busy but fun time,” Hubbard assures.
