Sara Evans Sets New Album for March 4

Gavin DeGraw Sings on Her Version of "Not Over You"

With a Top 40 single on the charts, Sara Evans is scheduled to release a new album on March 4. The single and the album are both titled “Slow Me Down.”

Evans released her prior album, Stronger, in March 2011.

For the new project, Evans partnered with Vince Gill on “Better Off” and with the Fray’s Isaac Slade on “Can’t Stop Loving You.” In addition, she enlisted pop star Gavin DeGraw to sing harmony on her rendition of his hit, “Not Over You.”

“Just as a fan, that’s, like, one of my favorite songs in five years,” Evans told the The Tennessean newspaper in Nashville. “It was completely written for me, even though Gavin wrote it for himself and forgot to let me record it the first time around. I was, like, ’I’ve got to record that. It’s so me.'”

Craig Shelburne has been writing for since 2002. He is also a producer for CMT Edge, Concrete Country and Live @ CMT.
