Kelly Clarkson Gets Into the Holiday Spirit With Reba McEntire and Trisha Yearwood

Music Video Premieres on CMT and CMT.com

The newlywed and mom-to-be recalls a "dream" moment while working in the studio with the two superstars.

Don't worry, Kelly Clarkson. We'd pinch ourselves, too, if we ever snagged a magical recording session with Reba McEntire and Trisha Yearwood.

In a recent interview, Clarkson talked about her recording of "Silent Night" from her holiday album Wrapped in Red. The video of Clarkson, McEntire, and Yearwood in perfect three-part harmony premiered Wednesday (Dec. 11) on CMT and CMT.com.

"Trisha and Reba -- total dream come true," Clarkson says. "Totally cried the day we were in the studio. I was just freaking out. We did 'Silent Night' as a trio, and it ends a cappella! And it's so ridiculous. I have never been so vain in my whole life, but I have listened to that song I don't know how many times."

Full bragging rights are completely appropriate in a moment like this. Both McEntire and Yearwood have been keeping a rather low profile during the past year or so, so it's quite a coup to be the artist to coerce them into a vocal group.

But can anyone really say no to a voice like Clarkson's? The newlywed is one of music's most revered set of pipes and is beloved by everyone who has ever met or performed with her, including McEntire and Yearwood.

Of course, McEntire's affection for the singer dates back to long before she officially became Clarkson's mother-in-law and future grandmother to Clarkson's impending bundle of joy with hubby Brandon Blackstock, McEntire's stepson.

Which is why it made total sense to have her on the album and also as a part of Kelly Clarkson's Cautionary Christmas Music Tale which airs Wednesday night on NBC.

Yearwood also stops by for an appearance, along with Blake Shelton, Jay Leno, Matt Lauer, Whoopi Goldberg, William Shatner and others.
