Jason Aldean will be joined by Florida Georgia Line and Tyler Farr when he kicks off his Burn It Down tour on May 1 in Roanoke, Va. Other specific dates were not revealed when he announced the tour Thursday (Jan. 9) on ABC’s Good Morning America, but he will be performing at several Major League Baseball stadiums.
The stadium concerts will include Nationals Park in Washington, D.C., Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia, PNC Park in Pittsburgh and Great American Ball Park in Cincinnati. The tour will visit approximately 50 cities through the end of the year.
Aldean sold more than 1.5 million tickets during his 2013 Night Train tour, including sellouts at the University of Georgia’s Sanford Stadium in Athens, Ga., Wrigley Field in Chicago and a two-night stand at Fenway Park in Boston.
As previously announced, Aldean will get some additional headlining time at stadiums this year during two major festivals. He’ll appear May 25 at the Bayou Country Superfest at Tiger Stadium on the LSU campus in Baton Rouge, La., and on June 14 at the Florida Country Superfest at EverBank Field in Jacksonville, Fla. The Florida stadium is the home of the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Aldean acknowledges a love of baseball stadiums.
“It’s no secret that I grew up dreaming of playing baseball stadiums,” he said. “I thought it would be as a first baseman, but playing them as a musician is just as sweet. We’re going to crank this thing up to 11, bring along our buddies Florida Georgia Line and Tyler Farr and put on the biggest and best show we can. My goal is that when the last song is over and you’re walking back to the parking lot, you’re already on your phone searching to find the next show.”
The Burn It Down tour will include stops in Alabama, Arizona, California, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Kentucky, Maine, Michigan, Missouri, North Carolina, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Dakota, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Wisconsin and several cities in Canada.
Additional information about specific dates and ticket sales will be available in the coming weeks on Aldean’s official website.
