Rascal Flatts Release New Single, "Rewind"

Trio Also Reveal Their New Year's Resolution Failures

Rascal Flatts won't be hitting pause in 2014. They'll be delivering their new single, "Rewind," to country radio on Jan. 21.

During a Wednesday (Jan. 8) listening party in Nashville for the track, bandmembers Gary LeVox, Jay DeMarcus and Joe Don Rooney told reporters they're looking forward to a great year. Then the topic of New Year's resolutions came up.

"I do [make a resolution], and I don't know why because it lasts about a week and a-half," admitted LeVox.

"I'm so good at life already that I don't need to make resolutions," joked DeMarcus. "You know what, I've tried it before, and I'm just terrible at it."

"My resolution was to really try to do my resolutions," LeVox continued.

"What was the original resolution?" asked DeMarcus, setting up his friend for the punch line.

"Just to try to get some more rest," LeVox laughed.

With such a busy year planned, more rest isn't likely. But had the group resolved to have another successful year in music, they'd already be on their way.

Amidst kicking off their "Rewind" radio tour, the band tweeted that online views of the track's sneak peek topped the 50,000 mark in just 24 hours.

The trio, who say they're in the process of finalizing their next album, will kick off their Live & Loud tour on Jan. 24 in Auburn, Ala. Plus, fans can look for DeMarcus and his wife, CMT's Allison DeMarcus, on the hit ABC series Nashville on Jan. 22.
