The Avett Brothers, the Black Keys and the Killers are among the artists confirmed for the Hangout Festival 2014 to be held May 16-18 on the beaches of Gulf Shores, Ala.
Bands will play on six stages at the fifth annual festival. Other artists appearing include Outkast, Jack Johnson, Queens of the Stone Age, Pretty Lights, Modest Mouse and the Flaming Lips, as well as STS9, Wiz Khalifa, Zedd, Childish Gambino, Amos Lee, Conor Oberst, Tegan & Sara, Portugal the Man, Fitz & the Tantrums, Capital Cities, Blackberry Smoke, Ingrid Michaelson, Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue and more.
The full lineup was revealed on Wednesday morning (Jan. 15). Tickets go on sale Thursday for $229. VIP tickets are available for $999 and a limited number of Super VIP tickets will also be available for $1599.
The festival expects to announce 13 more bands in the weeks to come, plus 13 additional bands for the festival’s pre-party, a separately ticketed event taking place May 15.
This year, fans will also enjoy access to more shaded areas under palm trees, as well as the Sky Bar tower, which offers 360-degree views of the festival. Amusement rides and games, pop-up boutiques, free refill water stations, a beachside wedding chapel and a variety of dining options will also be available.
To get fans in the Hangout state of mind, MTV, VH1, Palladia, MTV.com, MTV Hits, MTV Jams and mtvU will be featuring music videos, live performances, news packages about the festival and interviews with this year’s lineup.
