Stars Line Up to Announce the 2014 ACM Awards Nominees

Katy Perry, Duck Dynasty Cast Members Break the News

Nominees for the 49th annual Academy of Country Music Awards were revealed Wednesday morning (Jan. 29) via social media, and on hand to help with the announcement were some of entertainment’s biggest country music fans.

Duck Dynasty’s Willie and Korie Robertson delivered the news that Luke Bryan, Miranda Lambert, Blake Shelton, George Strait and Taylor Swift are up for entertainer of the year.

Entertainment Tonight’s Nancy O’Dell announced Jason Aldean, Lee Brice, Bryan, Shelton and Keith Urban as male vocalist of the year nominees.

Pop superstar Katy Perry took care of the female vocalist of the year category by calling out Sheryl Crow, Lambert, Kacey Musgraves, Swift and Carrie Underwood.

“Wagon Wheel” singer Darius Rucker announced the vocal duo of the year nominees: Big & Rich, Dan + Shay, Florida Georgia Line, Love and Theft and Thompson Square.

And actress Beth Behrs of CBS’ 2 Broke Girls revealed the Eli Young Band, Lady Antebellum, Little Big Town, The Band Perry and the Zac Brown Band as the field for vocal group of the year.

Country superstars Blake Shelton and Luke Bryan will be taking the stage to host the awards show for the second consecutive year. The two are sure to bring their signature down-home comedic vibe to the telecast airing April 6 at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
