Country Artists Tweet About Super Bowl XLVIII

Darius Rucker said it best. “I miss football already,” he tweeted right when the Super Bowl was over and the Seattle Seahawks had won the game, beating the Denver Broncos 43-8.

Whether you loved the game, hated the game, watched it for the commercials, watched it for Bruno Mars or were glued to your social media for the Peyton Manning memes, when it’s over, it’s over. So I get what Rucker was saying.

Other country stars took to Twitter, too, to express their own emotions over the game (and in most cases, the halftime show starring Mars and a little bit of the Red Hot Chili Peppers).

Blake Shelton (in response to his followers’ questions): “Do you like Bruno Mars? Damn right I do!! Do you like red hot chilli peppers? Shit yes!!”

Kelly Clarkson: “And @Budweiser wins for best commercial … seriously I’m hormonal and pregnant and I might be crying from the puppy/horse cuteness.”

Tim McGraw: “Got my jalapeno cheeseburger and am ready for the big game!!”

Jake Owen (from his seat at the game): “Hellllllloooooo”

Brad Paisley: “If you’re a Seahawks fan, best Super Bowl ever. For anyone else, worst Super Bowl ever.”

Carrie Underwood: “Red. Hot. Chili. Peppers.” After that, she tweeted, “The whole #halftimeshow was pretty awesome! Well done @BrunoMars.”

Lee Brice: “Ain’t no party like the pre-party … ! @budlight #SuperBowl2014”

And Tyler Farr was apparently spending quality time with Leigh Ann and Sean Tuohy, the real-life couple depicted in The Blind Side.

“Always a pleasure meeting great people,” he tweeted. “Thanks for the hospitality Mr. & Mrs. Tuohy @LeighAnneTuohy @Tuohy12”
