Florida Georgia Line’s Tyler Hubbard Hurt in Dirt Bike Accident

Singer-Guitarist Sustains Minor Injuries While Attempting a Jump

Florida Georgia Line member Tyler Hubbard is recuperating at home after sustaining a back injury in a minor dirt bike accident.

Brian Kelley, his partner in the duo, made the announcement Tuesday night (Feb. 18) at an industry party during the annual Country Radio Seminar in Nashville.

Florida Georgia Line canceled their performance at the event sponsored by Big Machine Label Group, CMT Radio Live With Cody Alan and After Midnite With Cody Alan. The private concert also featured Tim McGraw, Rascal Flatts, the Eli Young Band and the Cadillac Three.

According to CMT Radio Live/After Midnite, Kelley told the crowd the accident happened when Hubbard was attempting a jump on his dirt bike. After being hospitalized briefly, Hubbard was told to recuperate at home. Industry publication Country Aircheck reports the mishap occurred Sunday (Feb. 16).

On Wednesday, Hubbard tweeted a message to fans.

“Thanks for all the prayers y’all,” Hubbard wrote. “I’ll be fine and back out there in no time. Love y’all. P.S. I may just have to wear the old man mask.”

According to their website, Florida Georgia Line will return to the road on Jason Aldean’s Night Train tour with shows Thursday in Grand Rapids, Mich., and Friday and Saturday in Bloomington, Ill.
