Florida Georgia Line and their “Cruise” counterpart Nelly are taking a swing at a summer tour of baseball stadiums. The duo’s This Is How We Roll Summer Series 2014 will begin May 30 in Springdale, Ark.
Florida Georgia Line and Nelly are nominated for an ACM award in the vocal event category for their recording of “Cruise.” New artist Chris Lane will open the shows.
“Last year we played the ballpark in Lexington, Ky., and it was an epic night,” says Brian Kelley of Florida Georgia Line. “We thought how fun would it be to hit several of these and bring the good times to the field!”
The duo’s Tyler Hubbard adds, “Summer can’t get here fast enough. Having Nelly and Chris along for the ride is going to make for one big, outdoor party!”
The duo’s additional ACM nominations are in the categories of vocal duo, album (Here’s to the Good Times) and single (“Cruise”). They will perform in Las Vegas on April 4 as part of the ACM Party for a Cause Festival to raise awareness of hunger in America. The ACM Awards will air live April 6 on CBS.
