Blake Shelton, Shakira to Perform Together on ACM Awards

Shelton and Luke Bryan Will Host Festivities in Las Vegas

Blake Shelton and Shakira, his fellow mentor on The Voice, will perform together Sunday (April 6) during the 49th annual Academy of Country Music Awards show in Las Vegas.

The two recently collaborated on her current single “Medicine,” a track from her new self-titled album.

The Band Perry will open the ACM Awards with their new single “Chainsaw.” Hunter Hayes will perform his hit “Invisible” during the ceremony at the MGM Grand Garden Arena, and Luke Bryan and Florida Georgia Line will perform “This Is How We Roll” at the fourth annual ACM Fan Jam at the Mandalay Bay Events Center.

Miranda Lambert and George Strait will perform a medley that includes “Tonight the Bottle Let Me Down” and “The Fugitive” as part of a tribute to Merle Haggard’s 50 years in country music. Garth Brooks will present Haggard with the Crystal Milestone Award.

Other performers will include Jason Aldean, Eric Church, Brett Eldredge, Toby Keith, Justin Moore, Kip Moore, Keith Urban, Lady Antebellum and Stevie Nicks.

Shelton and Bryan will co-host the awards show which airs live on CBS.

Bryan will be promoting the ACM Awards during a Thursday (April 3) appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. He’ll also appear Friday on The Talk.
