Blake Shelton: "Manly and Whipped"

I've lit a lot of scented candles in my life. But not one of them was ever watermelon. So that one line ("Lightin' watermelon candles upstairs") in Blake Shelton's new song "Doin' What She Likes" makes me wonder if he's ever actually lit a candle for a woman.

If he did, he'd know they are more likely to come in scents like French lavender, honeysuckle rose, vanilla creme and/or island breeze.

But he told People magazine he does do almost everything else he mentions in the song. Like getting fajitas, making margaritas, driving 95 and then finding a place to park. He says he is in charge of the country things.

"I'm good at anything that's country -- biscuits, gravy, chicken-fried steak," Shelton said. "Look at me, for God's sake. I cook what I like to eat. I think if you asked Miranda, she'd tell you I cook. I love to cook. I don't like to clean the house, so that part of the video is a little bit farfetched."

Shelton will also be the one to actually mix up that pitcher of margaritas.

"Making drinks, I've got that covered," he said. "She relies on me to do the grilling, and I like that."

As for the part about getting his wife's bath ready, Shelton does that, too.

"But I like doing that stuff, too," he admitted. "I like bubble baths."

If you haven't heard the song -- which is close to impossible because it's on the radio approximately every other song -- it's about all the girly things a man will handle because he likes doing what she likes. This may come as a surprise coming from Shelton, who seems like he'd be too manly of a man to handle this kind of to-do list.

But according to Shelton, "It's a way to be manly and whipped at the same time."
