ACM Sells Out 2015 Awards Show, Party for a Cause in Texas

Fans Buy 70,000 Tickets in 18 Minutes

Fans embraced the Academy of Country Music's decision to move its 50th anniversary celebration to the Dallas/Fort Worth area when tickets to next year's ACM Awards and the ACM Party for the Cause went on sale Tuesday (April 15).

Both events sold out within 18 minutes with 70,000 tickets purchased.

The 50th annual ACM Awards will be held April 19, 2015, at AT&T Stadium, home of the Dallas Cowboys. The ACM Party for a Cause, featuring concerts, interactive experiences and a family-friendly country marketplace, will take place April 17-18, 2015, at Globe Life Park, home of the Texas Rangers. Both venues are located in Arlington, Texas.

"This sale was unprecedented and far exceeded our expectations," ACM CEO Bob Romeo said. "We're working hard to plan more events to accommodate as many fans as we can."

George Strait and Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones announced the move to Texas during the recent ACM Awards show in Las Vegas.

Although both events are now sold out, additional tickets may be made available when staging is finalized. Fans who sign up for the ACM A-List at the ACM's official website will be notified first.

The 50th annual ACM Awards, hosted again by Blake Shelton and Luke Bryan, will be broadcast live on CBS.
