You might not expect this from Nashville's little ol' Scarlett O'Connor. But Clare Bowen? She seems like she's totally cool with taking her clothes off for a photo shoot.

Bowen is featured in the May issue of Allure magazine for their "Look Better Naked" story with nothing but her strategically placed blond hair and a towel covering her.

The magazine gives you 27 ways that you, too, can look better without anything on -- from using kettle bells and dimming lights to exfoliating and breathing deeply. (And stop with the severe bikini waxes already.) But I think Bowen's perspectives on nudity would make anyone look better naked.

"If nudity is for a shock factor, it takes away from what makes it beautiful," she says.

And whatever kind of workout Bowen is doing, it is working out. It is her Irish wolfhound who loves to run, she says, that keeps her in shape. The actress looks gorgeous and told the magazine that she loves the photos.

"My body isn't going to look like this forever," she said. "I think it's lovely to have that preservation. I said they could photograph my scars. This isn't a rite-of-passage thing or a risqué thing. It's about body image and making other people feel good."

To prepare for the shoot, Bowen said she just rolled out of bed, turned up at the studio and got a foot massage. But she did admit to a couple beauty secrets: La Mer and Pawpaw creams.

Bowen also admits she occasionally sleeps naked.

"Everyone does sometimes, don't they?" she said. "I hope."
