Video of the Year Voting Resumes Wednesday Morning

Balloting in the categories is now officially closed, but voting for the 2014 CMT Music Awards ’ biggest prize — video of the year — resumes Wednesday morning (June 4).

For the first time ever, the six finalists for the evening’s most coveted prize will be revealed during the CMT Music Awards Video of the Year Finalists special airing Wednesday at 7 a.m. ET/PT on CMT.

Immediately following the one-hour special hosted by CMT’s Katie Cook, fans can vote all day and throughout the live telecast (ET/CT only) at, CMT mobile and via text message to determine the night’s big winner. This marks the first year voting for video of the year has continued throughout the day of the CMT Music Awards.

The 2014 CMT Music Awards will air live from Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena on Wednesday at 8 p.m. ET.

For final voting, six videos will be announced from the initial list of video of the year nominees:

Hosted by actress Kristen Bell, the 2014 CMT Music Awards will bring a mix of Hollywood actors and country artists to its stage as presenters, including Steve Austin of CMT’s Broken Skull Ranch, Beth Behrs of 2 Broke Girls, Brooklyn Decker and James Van Der Beek of Friends With Better Lives, Kate Walsh of Fargo, Cassadee Pope, Rascal Flatts and LeAnn Rimes.

Of course, the awards show always focuses on the music, and this year’s event will include performances by Luke Bryan, Eric Church, Florida Georgia Line, Miranda Lambert, Blake Shelton, Carrie Underwood and others still to be announced. In addition, Brett Eldredge, Cole Swindell, Dan + Shay, Danielle Bradbery, David Nail, Thomas Rhett and Tyler Farr will perform on the Nationwide Insurance Stage.
