Chris Young Cuts Hand, Cancels CMA Music Festival Autograph Session

He Still Expects to Perform Saturday (June 7) During Nightly Concert Series

Chris Young canceled a four-hour autograph session scheduled for Friday (June 6) at the CMA Music Festival after cutting his left hand the night before. Young was preparing a late dinner at home when he sustained the injury.

He was taken to a Nashville-area hospital, but is expected to recover in time for his scheduled performance on Saturday at CMA Music Festival. Just before the injury, Young hosted his annual fan club party on Thursday night with more than 500 fans on the General Jackson showboat.

The CMA Music Festival’s lineup for Saturday night also includes Sara Evans, Florida Georgia Line, Little Big Town, Darius Rucker and Keith Urban.

The 300 fans who had received a confirmed ticket for Friday’s autograph session will be able to visit Young’s booth inside the Fan Fair X exhibit area to receive a free signed photo. He plans to sign personalized photos to send to the registered fans who provide their name and mailing address.
