Brett Eldredge Bringing Old-Fashioned Back

He's on a One-Man Mission to Make Chivalry the New Sexy

Justin Timberlake already brought back sexy, but I don't even care at this point because Brett Eldredge is single-handedly bringing old-fashioned back. And that, my friends, is what I call sexy.

Chivalry is not dead. Not in the crystal blue eyes of this handsome country star.

In the latest issue of People magazine's country issue, the sexiest men in our format are revealing fun facts about themselves. And while other featured artists like Kenny Chesney "had me from hello," like always, it was Eldredge's guide to treating a gal like a lady that stopped me dead in my tracks.

The singer confessed he's proud to be known as a "throwback." And he says his chivalrous beliefs come from his dad.

"I learned from my father how to treat a gal. I'm 6'5, but if we're driving somewhere, my dad is always like, 'Your mom has to sit in the front.' My legs might be crammed, but I get in the back. If my mom is comfortable, I don't care."

Careful, ladies, don't hurt yourselves as you swoon.

If you ever find yourself on a date with Eldredge -- and wouldn't we all love that? -- expect the same courteous behavior.

"It's never too much to open a door for a girl or pull out a chair," he said.

We agree, but the "Beat of the Music" singer admits some women are surprised by his gentlemanly efforts.

"It blows my mind," he said. "Is that not normal? I don't care, though. A girl deserves that, and I think it's awesome. I think we need to make old-fashioned the new thing."

Oh, Brett Eldredge, I think you're the one who has the soul, brother. And you certainly know how to use it.
