Hunter Hayes Previews His New “Tattoo” Video

CMT Host Cody Alan Asked for a Sneak Peek

Hunter Hayes has revealed a sneak peek into his romantic new music video for “Tattoo.”

On Monday (July 14), CMT After MidNite and CMT Radio Live host Cody Alan sent a tweet asking the multi-talented heartthrob when fans can expect to see his newest video project.

“Hey @HunterHayes! When’s that #tattoo video comin’?” Alan asked.

It must have been his lucky day because Hayes responded by delivering a preview of the new clip exclusively to CMT.

In “Tattoo,” the second single from Hayes’ album Storylines, the Louisiana native describes falling for a girl who’s name would look good in ink — like in a tattoo on his arm.

“[’Tattoo’] is about inspiration,” Hayes says. “It’s about that moment when you meet somebody and you’re inspired by them and all you want is to encourage them as much as they’ve motivated you. And that’s the fun of it — meeting that person you’re crazy about.”

Judging by the preview, Hayes found the perfect co-star and video treatment to bring the first passionate moments of true love to life. He’s not giving too much away, but there’s plenty to fire the imagination.

“Welcome to ’Tattoo,’ the video,” says Hayes at the beginning of the short teaser.

Shot in an empty but tidy warehouse, the video looks to have a light, carefree feel — a stark contrast to the lifelong promise Hayes wants to make to his beautiful new love interest.

We’ll have to wait until July 28 to see the whole project when it makes its world premiere on CMT and, but until then, check out this sneak peek of Hunter Hayes’ video for “Tattoo.”
