George Strait Gives It All He's Got on Final Tour

'George Strait: The Cowboy Rides Away' Premieres Friday at 7 p.m. ET/PT on CMT

It's sad to see George Strait step away from touring. But he sure did put on a show to remember at his final concert held in June at AT&T Stadium just outside Dallas.

In this live video of "Give It All We Got Tonight," the King of Country shows he was far from being a used-up cowboy when he finally hung up his hat. The performance is from George Strait: The Cowboy Rides Away, a two-hour concert special premiering Friday (Aug. 29) at 7 p.m. ET/PT on CMT.

Just look at how his stage is set up: It's in the middle of a football stadium packed with almost 105,000 fans. Hanging over his head are the two largest high-definition video screens in the entire world. And the whole thing is slowly rotating so that every fan gets the best view possible.

But despite all those modern trappings, Strait and his Ace in the Hole band make the place feel like a dusty Texas dancehall. And that's his gift. It's nostalgia, pride and entertainment all wrapped into one.

With King George settling into semiretirement on his ranch in Texas, it's the end of an era for sure, but we'll have plenty to look back on.

George Strait: The Cowboy Rides Away was filmed during this last-ever tour date and includes behind-the-scenes interviews and guest appearances by Jason Aldean, Kenny Chesney, Eric Church, Faith Hill and more.

Until then, enjoy George Strait's "Give It All We Got Tonight" and know that he sure did.
